The Hen & Chickens Theatre is a well-known fringe venue located in Islington, London. Established in 1987, it has built a reputation for showcasing innovative and diverse theatrical performances, including new writing, comedy and screenings. The theatre is a 54-seat end on auditorium with raked seating, allowing for an intimate experience between the performers and the audience. The Hen & Chickens Theatre is a gorgeous black box venue with 54 raked individual seats and is fully equipped for sound and lighting. We have a projector and screen you may borrow. We have a lovely dressing room, with a loo, clothing rail and storage space for props and costumes. Our policy is to put on quality theatre, musicals and sketch comedy. We have a strong leaning towards new writing, but we accept all applications to inspire our large, loyal audience base. The slots we offer are usually 55mins, but we also accept longer shows for the 9pm slot, so get in touch and let’s see if we are a good fit. Once you are accepted you must pay in full for your slot.
